Schools can participate free of charge. Registrations start on November 1st and end by Chinese New Year for the following spring.
Each school presents 1 team of maximum 50 children with at least 2 team leaders (teachers or parents) to organize one or several classes with children from 5 to 10 years old.
Each team has access to at least 20 sqm.
Starting kits provided to the schools include : the Young Gardener Manual (based on GNIS' French school gardening programme called "Jardinons à l'école" - www.jardinonsalecole.org), seeds, soil, organic fertilizer and tools.
> Will take place from September 2016 to June 2017
> Will be crowned by a prize giving ceremony at the French Embassy to recognize and celebrate the efforts and accomplishment of all participants
> Any school in China can participate FREE of charge
> Each school can put forward 1 team with a maximum of 50 children, which can be comprised of children from one or several classes as long as the children are between 5 and 10 years old. The school must have at least 2 team leaders (teachers or parents) to oversee the project and act as liaison with the organizers
> Suggest each team should have access to at least 20m2 to plant their garden
